Write a story entirely in dialogue. Maybe it's just two people on the phone. Maybe it's a whole slew of characters doing something.
"Where is it?"
"I left it right here."
"Damn it Erik-!"
"My name's Mark..."
"Mark, whatever, why do I keep trusting you with my notebook if you're just going to keep losing it?"
"I didn't mean to."
"That's always your excuse, Eric!"
"It's Mark-"
"Oh shut up!"
Bonus: If you do describe anything, only describe sounds.
"Where is it?" A tinge of fury was in his voice, a slam echoed through the room as he banged his fist on a wooden table.
"I left it right here." The reply was softer, meeker. Like a whisper of wind, it floated from his mouth smoothly.
"Damn it Erik-!"
"My name is Mark..." The soft voice tinged with controlled agitation.
"Mark, whatever, why do I keep trusting you with my notebook if you're just going to keep losing it?" Betrayal and hurt. As though Mark had been out to ruin him all this time. His voice hung heavy in the air, the question echoing in their ears.
"I didn't mean to," came the reply, but there was as much bittersweet apology in it as a pig has wings.
"That's always your excuse, Erik!" Hatred and fire. A dragon unleashing it's roar.
"It's Mark-"
"Oh shut up!"
